Do you believe in love at first sight?

Yes, I do.  The day I met my husband at an orientation for work, I knew I was not only going to fall in love with him, but I was going to marry him.  We were teamed up for the hands-on technique training and the first time he took my hand to show me a hold, I felt that zing.  He told me he felt the same thing too, but it still took him 6 months to make a move.  We’ve been married 12 years now and still going strong.

Your first car?

My first car was a used 1985 Honda Accord.  I was in college and was tired of catching rides with friends to get home.  Over Thanksgiving break, I got the car, learned how to drive it (I’d never driven a stick before), and drove it back to school.  I was scared driving by myself, but I was determined to have a car, so away I went.  I loved that car till it died.

Who taught you to ride a bike? How did it go?

I never learned to ride a bike unfortunately.  I never got one as a kid and when I tried to teach myself as an adult, I could just never get it right.  Though I saw that there are now 3 wheel bikes.  I have been thinking about getting one.  I have always dreamt of riding around and not always having to use my car to get places.

Ugly and rich or beautiful and poor?

Sure, I’d love to be rich, I can’t deny that.  I’ve never had a lot of money, so being rich could be fun.  I’d love to have the money to travel wherever I want and see all the things I’ve always wanted to see.  Looks don’t mean much to me, so it wouldn’t have much barring on my decision.

What was the first dish you could cook?

Pancakes.  My sister and I were both home alone from school when I was in first grade and her the second.  We were starving and decided after reading the Bisquick box, we thought we could do it.  We weren’t supposed to touch the stove, but we did.  We were so worried about getting caught or burning ourselves, we didn’t cook the pancakes long enough.  We ended up with tiny white pancakes, but we were so proud of ourselves, we smothered them in syrup and ate them with big smiles.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week was my husband’s birthday and I am grateful for every year we have together.

This week, I am looking forward to having nothing to do this weekend.  I have been extremely exhausted these past couple of weeks, barely writing or posting pics because I’ve been pushing myself too much.  I can’t wait for a weekend where I can sleep in and then get up and do absolutely nothing.
